Connect is our small group ministry.

We meet twice a month on either a Tuesday or Wednesday in each other’s homes for the purpose of:

Fellowship, Discipleship & Care

Fellowship: As our Church grows we praise God for his blessing; however it also creates a new dynamic and feel.  With a growing number of people it becomes increasingly difficult for each of us, especially for new people, to make good connections with others. People can become alone in the midst of the crowd.  We believe that Connect groups will “do exactly what it says on the tin” and connect people who otherwise may well have walked by or waved at each other.  We want to go beyond a “Hi-bye” culture by cultivating a one-another culture that mirrors the dynamic of what we find in Acts 2:44 “All the believers were together and had everything in common.”

Discipleship: John 13:17 says “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them”. Connect Groups emphasise the latter part of this verse – the doing.  At a small group evening we will be able to “flesh-out” what God has been saying through his Word on Sundays and learn how to best ‘live it out’. Being part of a Connect group helps each one of us connect in a new way to God’s word and enables us to grow all the more as disciples of Jesus. 

Care: In Connect groups we are able to provide on going care for one another. In small groups we will discover four blessings that we miss out on outside of true biblical community.  We get strength for life’s storms; we receive wisdom for making important decisions, we experience accountability which is vital to spiritual growth and we find acceptance that helps us repair our wounds.
